A leading engineering consultancy in Saudi Arabia is hiring an experienced HAZOP Chairman (Process Safety Specialist) to support critical safety studies and risk management initiatives across industrial and energy projects. 🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) workshops
- Conduct and support Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) sessions
- Perform SIL (Safety Integrity Level) assignment and verification
- Contribute to Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) activities
- Prepare workshop documentation, reports, and safety recommendations
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams
- Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders
- Travel to project sites for workshop facilitation and safety assessments
- Ensure compliance with international process safety standards
🎓 Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in engineering design or plant operations
- Proven expertise in process safety workshop facilitation
- Strong experience in:
- HAZOP / PHA workshops
- SIL assignment
- Knowledge of SIL verification and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) (preferred)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel to client sites
