Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Finishing Engineer to oversee and manage finishing works for retail fit-out and mall projects. This role involves supervising all finishing activities from initial site survey through final client handover while ensuring compliance with quality standards, project timelines, budgets, and mall regulations.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating site activities, reviewing technical documentation, managing contractors, and ensuring project delivery meets client expectations. Experience in retail and mall fit-out projects is highly valued, along with the ability to produce professional 3D visualizations and technical renderings for client presentations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all finishing works from site survey through project completion and client handover.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare accurate as-built drawings.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Approve finishing materials in accordance with project specifications.
• Manage daily site activities including flooring, ceilings, painting, joinery, glass installations, and lighting works.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and mall management teams.
• Monitor project schedules, progress, and material deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with mall standards and project quality requirements.
• Conduct snagging and de-snagging inspections.
• Prepare final project documentation and handover packages.
• Support project teams with technical guidance and problem-solving.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in mall, retail fit-out, or commercial interior projects.
• Proven experience managing finishing and fit-out activities.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of finishing materials and installation methods.
• Knowledge of mall compliance requirements and standards.
• Ability to produce 3D visualizations and technical renderings for client presentations.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings and technical documentation.
• Project coordination and site supervision expertise.
