A leading energy company is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer for a long-term assignment on the Saudi Aramco Jafurah Project. This role is ideal for professionals with 5+ years of commissioning experience in the oil & gas or energy sector, focusing on system start-up, troubleshooting, pre-commissioning, and operational testing.

The position offers exposure to state-of-the-art oil & gas facilities, multidisciplinary teams, and high-value energy projects. The role is critical for ensuring that systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and according to industry standards.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

  • Execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for systems and equipment
  • Conduct troubleshooting and system performance testing
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including LOTO and permit-to-work processes
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders during commissioning phases
  • Prepare technical documentation, commissioning reports, and logs
  • Support operational readiness and handover of systems
  • Apply DCS, PLC, and SCADA expertise for system configuration, testing, and monitoring
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in commissioning processes

🎓 Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning within oil & gas or energy projects
  • Proficiency with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures (LOTO, permits, risk assessments)
  • Excellent English communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work on-site in challenging operational environments
