Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Tender Manager to support tender management, business development, and contract-related activities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of professional experience in tendering, tender management, business development, or contract management, with practical exposure to both government and private-sector tenders.

The role involves coordinating and supervising the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, reviewing tender documentation, monitoring tender requirements, and ensuring submissions are completed accurately and within established deadlines. Experience in contracting, engineering consultancy, infrastructure projects, or related industries will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Tender Manager in managing the complete tendering process from opportunity identification through submission.
  • Coordinate government and private-sector tender opportunities.
  • Review tender documents, specifications, requirements, and submission conditions.
  • Coordinate the preparation and review of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Ensure tender submissions comply with client requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, commercial, finance, legal, procurement, and project teams during tender preparation.
  • Monitor tender requirements, clarifications, amendments, and submission milestones.
  • Support the preparation of tender schedules, commercial documentation, and supporting information.
  • Review proposals for accuracy, completeness, compliance, and commercial alignment.
  • Maintain tender records, databases, and documentation using ERP and other business systems.
  • Prepare reports and management updates on tender opportunities, progress, and outcomes.
  • Use Microsoft Office, Power BI, ERP systems, and relevant certification platforms to support tender management and reporting.
  • Supervise and coordinate team members involved in tender preparation and submission activities.
  • Contribute to business development activities and identify potential tender opportunities.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants, and external partners.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of professional experience in tender management, tendering, business development, or contract management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supervision and leadership.
  • Practical experience handling both government and private-sector tenders.
  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing technical and commercial proposals.
  • Strong understanding of tender documentation, requirements, compliance, and submission processes.
  • Previous experience in contracting, engineering consultancy, infrastructure projects, or related sectors is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI and relevant certification platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tender deadlines and priorities effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team-supervision capabilities.
  • PMP, MBA, Contract Management qualification, or related professional certification is preferred.
